Korean Music Industry Internship
Winter & Spring Semester 2023 - Darow & Studio Eggy Records
Unpaid Internship for College Credit (No Visa Support)
Requirements:
• Currently attending a college business, marketing, or music industry program in Los Angeles
• You love supporting Asian American and Korean indie artists and prefer the business side of the music industry
• You’re passionate about the Asian & Korean music market, indie artists, rock music & singer-songwriters
• Fluency in Korean and/or Mandarin preferred. Minimum conversational
• Be a good person and demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills
• Computer & social media savvy (Adobe, Canva, DISCO, Google Sheets, IG, SoundCloud, Tiktok, YouTube)
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic about the work and music
• High levels of integrity and honesty and team player able to work well with others
• Demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment
• Excellent work ethic & punctuality is a must
What you’ll be doing to help DAROW & Studio Eggy Records
• Lead research of Asian films, Korean drama series, TV, and game opportunities
• Assist with researching Darow potential audience, fanbase, and listening trends
• Assist Darow and A&R team by sharing new music with college radio DJs, music supervisors, radio programmers, and social media influencers
• Assist with researching Asian gaming, movie, and television programming (Korean Dramas)
• Assist with bookings research, music videos & photoshoots
• Research and stay up-to-date with the gaming, metaverse, movie, trailer, and TV music industry
• Assist with artist/label album, EP & single coordination, google sheet metadata
• Assist with Darow & Studio Eggy Records artist showcase events
• Correspond and communicate with existing and potential clients via email, phone & social media
• Liaising with artists, producers, and singers to schedule in-person studio sessions & zoom meetings
• Assist with updating artist & label Websites (Squarespace)
• Create, design, and write copy for social media
• Running office/studio errands, shipping merch
• Help with marketing and sharing music mentorship programs
• Help artists with live & virtual events (guest list, merch & production)
